is Jacaranda Theatre?
Jacaranda Theatre has
helped put the Australian performing arts on the map by producing and promoting
gutsy, globally and socially relevant, cutting-edge Australian
Drama to theatre audiences in the
Australia, the UK
and abroad. It has been a privilege to present the UK debut of Daniel
Keene, and the debut of work by Raimondo Cortese, Patricia Cornelius,
Ben Ellis, and many others. Jacaranda strives to
showcase work of an internationally transferable nature, as
well as sharing the rich variety of Australian
culture.
Above all, Jacaranda
is committed to developing productions of the highest quality,
to take them to the widest possible audience and to provide
dynamic and unique working conditions for theatre
professionals.
Jacaranda looks
forward to enjoying its new Melbourne base, expanding its repertoire, as well as developing
the touring possibilities of
its existing
projects.
It shall also continue to showcase the many
talented playwrights of Australia during the Jacaranda
